RENDERING

INTERNAL RENDERING
Internal rendering is done using a 10mm coat with a mix of sand and cement to either block or brick work once a new damp proof course has been installed or a relevant backing to receive ceramic tiles. All the edges of the render are protected using appropriate beading.
EXTERNAL RENDERING
External render is achieved by using sand and cement to provide an undercoat or scratch coat and then a top coat is applied allowing for various types of finish to be achieved. The sand and cement mix may also include lime, plasticiser or other chemical additives depending on the specific requirements of the project.

K-REND
These renders form an attractive range of one coat applications plastered directly onto block work. They can also be used in-conjunction with a base coat. To achieve the required finish, float to a level surface evenly with a scraping tool when the render is set but not hard, removing 2mm to produce a uniform texture.
