DRY LINING
DRY LINING SERVICES
Dry Lining is when plasterboard is used to replace the two coat wet plaster finish to block work. This method is quick and clean to apply compared to the 2 coat plaster systems.
When using dry lining to cover masonry walls, a system called DOT and DAB is used which means the plasterboard adhesive is applied to the wall using a hand board and trowel and the plasterboard is pressed against the evenly spaced dabs and then checked for levels square and horizontal. The main advantages with this process is that it is cleaner, quicker and the drying out process is reduced.
